The protest on Thursday, August 27, at the Parliament (DPR) building in Jakarta ended in chaos. The police accused the protesters outside the United Pati Society Alliance (AMPB) of coming only to cause a riot.

The Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, stated that the AMPB protesters were orderly in conveying their aspirations.
