TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that light-intensity rain will shower most parts of Jakarta and its surrounding areas throughout today, Sunday, November 16, 2025. With air humidity reaching about 96 percent in Jabodetabek (Greater Jakarta Area), there is always the potential for rain from 07:00 AM local time until 07:00 PM local time.
According to the latest 24-hour weather forecast from BMKG, the potential for light rain from morning to noon is present in some areas of Kepulauan Seribu, as well as in the City and Regency of Bogor. From noon to afternoon, light rain is likely to spread across the entire Jabodetabek area.
BMKG notes that today's air temperatures range between 24 to 33 degrees Celsius, except in Bogor where it ranges from 20 to 30 degrees Celsius. Surface winds today are predicted to blow from the southwest to west at speeds of 10 to 45 kilometers per hour.
Lately, the BMKG team has advised the public to be cautious of drastic weather changes, from sunny to heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds. Drastic weather changes generally occur from midday to afternoon.
In the weekly weather outlook for the period of November 14 to 20, 2025, BMKG does not include Jakarta in the area expected to experience heavy to very heavy rain. However, the metropolitan area is likely to experience strong winds in the sub-period from November 14 to 16, or this weekend.
