TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Chief of Indonesian Army Staff (TNI AD), General Maruli Simanjuntak, appointed Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya as the best individual paper (Taskap) writer at the Regular Education LXVIII Indonesian Army Command and General Staff College (Seskoad) 2026.
Teddy's appointment as the best Taskap writer was announced during the closing ceremony of the Regular Education LXVIII Seskoad at the Professor Doctor Satrio Building, Seskoad Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. "Seskoad graduates must have strong strategic insight, visionary thinking, and high moral integrity," said Maruli, as quoted from the Indonesian National Army's official website on Wednesday.
Teddy was invited to present his study results in front of guests and all officer cadets after being appointed the best Taskap writer.
Maruli reminded all Seskoad officer cadets to focus not only on technical and tactical military skills, but also on developing excellent character traits for the next generation of ground forces.
He said that, in the future, the challenges of the task will require military leaders who excel in military professionalism, are capable of strategic thinking, can adapt to technological developments, and have a far-reaching vision.
Maruli also advised Teddy and all Seskoad officer cadets to maintain integrity, improve their capacity, and develop a lifelong learning culture.
"The education acquired is expected to be the foundation for facing various task challenges as well as providing the best contribution for organizational progress," said the former Commander of Kostrad.
Previously, the Head of the Indonesian National Army's Information Service, Brigadier General Donny Pramono, explained that Seskoad education, in which Teddy participated, was carried out using a mixed method.
He said that the method was adjusted to develop the education system and the dynamics of tasks and organizational needs in the Ground Forces. "The education was conducted through face-to-face and online methods," said Donny on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
Seskoad is the highest general development education institution in the Indonesian National Army. The institution aims to develop leadership, managerial, and strategic insight in middle-ranking officers with the rank of major or lieutenant colonel.
The Regular Education LXVII Seskoad 2026 was attended by 279 officer cadets, consisting of 255 Indonesian Army cadets, 4 Indonesian Navy cadets, 2 Indonesian Air Force cadets, 7 Police cadets, and 11 cadets from friendly countries.
