TEMPO.COJakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested three officials from the Directorate General of Customs at the Finance Ministry on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. They are suspected of receiving bribes from freight forwarder Torion Express Indonesia, which operates under the trademark Blueray Cargo. The KPK also arrested Blueray’s owner and two employees as alleged bribers.

Customs Director General Djaka Budhi Utama has yet to issue a press statement regarding the arrest of his subordinates. Tempo sent an interview request to the former Special Forces officer. The response came in writing from Budi Prasetiyo, Head of the Public Relations and Media Subdirectorate, on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

Why did containers belonging to Blueray Cargo, allegedly carrying counterfeit goods, receive green channel facilities?
Based on Customs data, no import activity under the name Blueray Cargo was found. Regarding the designation of Blueray as a suspect, Customs will not preempt the legal process at the KPK.
(Note: Blueray Cargo is the trademark of Torion Express Indonesia. Tempo found that Blueray established dozens of shell companies as importers. The lawyer for the Blueray suspects denied allegations that the client arranged channel changes.)
