IHSG Climbs 2.05% This Week, Closes at 6,815.7

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) closed in the green zone this week from April 28 to May 2, 2025. The IHSG strengthened by 2.05 percent, reaching 6,815.7 from 6,678.9 the previous week.

"Stock trading data at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period of April 28 - May 2, 2025, closed in the positive zone," said IDX Corporate Secretary Kautsar Primadi Nurahmad in a written statement quoted on Saturday, May 3, 2025.

The IDX market capitalization rose 2.33 percent to Rp11,831 trillion from Rp11,561 trillion the previous week.

The IDX noted the highest increase in the average daily trading volume this week, which was 14.46 percent, reaching 20.87 billion shares from 18.23 billion shares the previous week.

This week's average daily transaction frequency increased by 9.25 percent, reaching 1.21 million transactions from 1.11 million transactions the previous week. Similarly, the average daily transaction value at the IDX during the week increased by 4.99 percent to Rp11.61 trillion from Rp11.06 trillion the previous week.

Today's foreign investors recorded a net purchase value of Rp133.18 billion, and throughout 2025, foreign investors recorded a net selling value of Rp50.58 trillion.

Last week, the IHSG increased by 3.74 percent from April 21-25, 2025. The IHSG closed at 6,678.9. However, last week's average daily transaction frequency experienced a change of 4.88 percent, reaching 1.11 million transactions from 1.17 million transactions. A change in the average daily transaction value at the IDX during the week, which was 24.02 percent, reaching Rp11.06 trillion from Rp14.56 trillion the previous week.
