TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Airlangga Hartarto, announced the additional disbursement of Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) for the fourth quarter of 2025 to 35,046,783 beneficiary families. He mentioned that the BLT for the next three months will reach more beneficiaries, estimated to reach 140 million people, assuming one family consists of a father, mother, and two children.
Airlangga stated that the increase in the quota of BLT recipients from October to December 2025 was a direct request from President Prabowo Subianto. "And this is higher than the previous BLT. This additional BLT is separate from the regular BLT disbursed by the Ministry of Social Affairs every month to 20.88 million beneficiary families," said Airlangga in a press conference at the Cikini Post Office in Jakarta on Friday, October 17, 2025.
Airlangga mentioned that today, the government symbolically handed over BLT to 50 individuals who had never received assistance before. The handoff occurred at the Cikini Post Office in Jakarta and was witnessed by several ministry officials.
According to Airlangga, the additional BLT disbursement will begin as soon as possible. He explained that 18.3 million recipients will receive the disbursement through state banks, while 17.2 million will receive it through PT Pos Indonesia.
"Through Himbara (state banks) starting next week. Through PT Pos, it will also be ready starting next Monday," said Airlangga.
