TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Labubu is one of the viral doll characters from The Monsters. Known for its sharp teeth and long elf ears, the doll has now become part of pop culture. Fans of Labubu can not only hunt for the doll to hang on their bags, but also visit its amusement park to experience being in the world of their favorite character.
Labubu is a designer toy series created by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung. Since childhood, he became fascinated by Nordic fairy tales about fairies after moving to the Netherlands, as quoted from NPR. This eventually inspired the furry characters, gremlin-meets-troll (known to be kind-hearted, although sometimes causing chaos) in his book series, The Monsters, which debuted in 2015 and immediately gained popularity.
Due to its enormous popularity, Labubu and other characters from The Monsters series now have a Pop Land amusement park. The first amusement park dedicated to these book characters is located in Chaoyang Park, Beijing, China. It is not only Labubu, this park is also home to Bai Molly, Dimoo, and other characters.
"More than a place to snag adorable collectibles, it allows fans to step right into their favorite characters' worlds at Molly's Castle and interact closely with the beloved figurines," according to the Beijing tourism website, as quoted from Travel+Leisure.

The World of Toy Characters
Upon entering this park, there are no roller coasters or other extreme rides to be found. Instead, visitors will be welcomed by a colorful world of toy characters. The entrance tickets are quite affordable, starting from US$12.26.
The journey will begin by passing through Pop Street, an entrance area that serves as the gateway to Labubu's world. There, visitors will receive a "passport" that can be stamped for each area they visit. Then, visitors can move on to Molly's Castle, a palace that makes visitors feel like a part of Molly's world. Visitors can also interact with their favorite characters, even tasting typical snacks such as chocolate cake from Crybaby.
For adventure lovers, the Labubu Adventure Forest is the place to meet the Labubu characters and watch performances. Don't miss the exciting play area with climbing walls and trampolines. In addition, there are also themed restaurants, such as The Yum Explorer at the Dimoo Yacht Restaurant. After exploring to their heart's content, visitors can stop by the photo spots scattered throughout the park.
For Labubu fans who want to meet their beloved character, they can take a flight to the Beijing Capital International Airport. From the airport, they can use a bus or subway, with a travel time of about 30 to 550 minutes.
