TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports), the operator of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, has implemented operational adjustments for several airlines as part of its effort to rebalance domestic flight services within Terminal 1.
The rearrangement was executed in phases, commencing Monday, November 17, 2025, with the relocation of Lion Air and Airfast Indonesia domestic operations to Terminal 1B at Soekarno-Hatta Airport for all flights originating from and destined for Jakarta (CGK).
Subsequently, on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Sriwijaya Air and NAM Air also began servicing their domestic flights through Terminal 1B.
"With this relocation, Terminal 1B will become the service zone for these four domestic airlines," confirmed Heru Karyadi, the General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Branch Office, on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
Heru stated that this adjustment is part of strengthening the operational structure of Terminal 1, an initiative initially launched with the relocation of all Citilink domestic routes to Terminal 1C on November 12, 2025, coinciding with Terminal 1C's full operation.
Through this reorganization, Heru explained that the passenger movement flow within Terminal 1 can be better controlled in relation to the facility capacity, thereby supporting the efficiency of both departure and arrival processes.
With the complete activation of Terminal 1C, the overall service capacity of Terminal 1 increases, allowing for a strategic distribution of passengers through this internal rebalancing between terminal sections.
Ensuring Smooth Passenger Movement
According to Heru, this operational rearrangement is designed to guarantee passengers experience a more organized travel experience. "The rebalancing of services at Terminal 1 is implemented so that passenger movements can run more smoothly, and airlines have increasingly optimal operational space," Heru commented.
Heru added that intensive coordination is maintained with all airlines and relevant stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition period. "We ensure that the entire relocation process runs safely, coordinated, and supported by field officers."
Heru expressed hope that passengers will experience a more comfortable journey and avoid confusion regarding their correct departure terminal.
As part of the implementation of this arrangement, Soekarno-Hatta Airport advises passengers of Lion Air, Airfast Indonesia, Sriwijaya Air, and NAM Air to verify flight schedule information and departure terminals on their tickets, airline applications, and other official communication channels. Passengers are encouraged to arrive early and pay close attention to the signage and guidance from officers in the terminal area to ensure efficient check-in and boarding procedures.
