
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Metropolitan Police will conduct traffic engineering to welcome the arrival of the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko. He is scheduled to make a state visit to Jakarta, Indonesia on July 1 to 2, 2026.
"Indonesia is welcoming the state visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus, H.E. Alexander Lukashenko, and a series of state events will be held on Wednesday - Thursday, July 1 - 2, 2026, from 10:00 AM WIB (Western Indonesian Time) until completion," wrote the Traffic Management Center account of the Jakarta Metro Police @tmcpoldametro on Instagram social media.
The Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Directorate announced that there will be temporary traffic escorts and arrangements on several protocol roads in Jakarta to welcome the visit.
The roads to be passed are as follows:
- Jalan Raya Halim Perdanakusuma
- Jalan Raya M.T. Haryono
- Jalan Gatot Subroto
- Jalan Jenderal Sudirman
- Jalan M.H. Thamrin
- Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat
"Road closures will only be carried out when state guests pass through," said the Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Management Center.
Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Directorate Commissioner Komarudin ensured that the roads will be reopened after the state guests pass through. "After that, everything will return to normal," he said when contacted on Tuesday, 30 June 2026.
Komarudin urged the public to carry out their activities as usual while still adhering to traffic rules.
"There will be our officers in the field who will be deployed to help ensure the smooth running of all activities, both state activities and general public activities," he said.
