TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto claimed that the Forest Area Regulation Task Force (Satgas PKH) has successfully reclaimed forest areas worth Rp370 trillion. He made this statement while attending the handover of Rp11.42 trillion from the Satgas PKH to the state treasury.
"What the Satgas PKH has done in the past year and a half has saved nearly 10 percent of the state budget," Prabowo said at the Attorney General's Office in South Jakarta, on Friday, April 10, 2026.
Prabowo expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Satgas PKH. "I have the highest appreciation for the sacrifices of my colleagues," he said.
He estimated that the government could use the Rp370 trillion to improve and modernize schools across Indonesia, as well as build thousands of bridges in rural areas. "We can envisage the change in the fate of our people through the recovery of funds and assets generated by my colleagues," Prabowo said.
Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin stated that since its formation in February 2025, the Satgas PKH has reclaimed 5.88 million hectares of palm oil plantation land and transformed it into forest. Additionally, in the mining sector, the Satgas PKH had reclaimed forest areas covering 10,257.22 hectares.
The Satgas PKH returned forest land to ministries and agencies from the total reclaimed areas.
A conservation forest area covering 254,780.12 hectares was handed over to the Ministry of Forestry. The area consists of convertible production forests located in Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan, covering 149,198.09 hectares, Lae Kombih Grand Forest Park in Subulussalam, Aceh, covering 510.03 hectares, and Mount Halimun Salak Forest Conservation Group in Bogor, West Java, covering 105,072 hectares.
Meanwhile, an area totaling 30,543.40 hectares was transferred from the Satgas PKH to the Ministry of Finance, then to the Danantara Investment Management Agency, and later handed over to PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero).
The Rp11.42 trillion handed over to the state treasury today consists of administrative fines in the forestry sector amounting to Rp7.23 trillion, Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) from corruption handling in the Indonesian Attorney General's Office amounting to Rp1.96 trillion.
Furthermore, from tax payments from January-April 2026 amounting to Rp967.77 billion, state revenue through tax payments on February 28, 2026, from PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara, reaching Rp108.57 billion, as well as PNBP from environmental fines amounting to Rp1.14 trillion.
