TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will lead the ceremony for the 80th Bhayangkara Day (Police Anniversary Celebrations) today, Wednesday, July 1, 2026. The celebration of Bhayangkara Day will be held at the Mobile Brigade Corps Training Unit of the Indonesian National Police in Cikeas, Bogor, West Java.
"The 80th Bhayangkara Day ceremony will be led by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo Subianto as the Inspector of the Ceremony," said Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, the Head of the Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police Headquarters, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
Johnny stated that the ceremony will also be attended by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. In addition to the two national leaders, Johnny mentioned that the invitees to the ceremony include officials from ministries/agencies of the Red and White Cabinet and relevant stakeholders.
This year's Bhayangkara Day carries the theme '80 Years of Police Dedication to the Community'. In the event schedule seen by Tempo, it is noted that the series of Bhayangkara Day activities will commence at around 07.00 AM. The morning's agenda includes the ceremony, the presentation of honors, demonstrations, parades, and a thanksgiving service.
Meanwhile, the central location for the celebration of the Police's anniversary in Cikeas this time differs from previous years.
Johnny explained that the Satlat Brimob Cikeas was chosen because it holds symbolic meaning related to the formation of values and the character of police personnel.
"The Satlat Brimob of the Indonesian National Police in Cikeas, Bogor is openly representative so that the community can witness that every police task involves the process of education, training, and the formation of values and character," said Johnny. "This symbolizes the enhancement of the quality of human resources that serves as the foundation for police services.
