CANTIKA.COM, Jakarta - Singer Rose of BLACKPINK has reached another historic milestone, officially setting two new Guinness World Records and becoming the first K-pop artist to earn nominations in the main categories of the Grammy Awards.
Rose has joined the ranks of global artists with unprecedented K-pop achievements. According to Allkpop, she now holds Guinness World Records after receiving nominations for Record of the Year and Song of the Year at the Grammy Awards, two of the most prestigious awards in the so-called “Big Four.”
This accomplishment also makes Rose the solo Korean artist with the most Guinness World Records, totaling eight awards, surpassing BTS’ Jungkook.

Why Rose’s Grammy Nomination Is So Historic
The Grammy Awards’ “Big Four” categories, which include Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best New Artist, have long been dominated by artists from the United States and the United Kingdom.
While K-pop has enjoyed global popularity, its recognition at the Grammys has typically been limited to smaller or genre-specific categories.
By breaking into two of these top categories, Rose has achieved a milestone that even the biggest K-pop groups have yet to reach. Her nominations mark a significant opening for K-pop on the global music stage, signaling the genre’s growing influence and recognition in the most prestigious awards of the music industry.
