TEMPO.CO, Jakarta Indonesian Minister of Manpower, Yassierli, signed Circular Letter No. M/2/HK.04/1I/2026. The letter regulates the implementation of 'Work From Anywhere' (WFA) for company employees during the Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr holidays in 2026.

The letter, dated February 13, 2026, was issued to optimize public mobility during the upcoming two religious holidays. "And to maintain work productivity and encourage economic growth in the first quarter of 2026," said Yassierli in Circular Letter M/2/HK.04/1I/2026.

The letter is addressed to company leaders and business owners throughout Indonesia. "We hereby urge you to provide opportunities for employees to work from other locations or work from anywhere (WFA)," said Yassierli.

The implementation of the Work From Home (WFA) is subject to the following provisions:

1. The WFA will be implemented on March 16-17, 2026, and is expected to be implemented again on March 25-27, 2026. The implementation of the WFA will take into account the needs of companies and the potential surge in the return flow of travelers after celebrating Eid al-Fitr.

2. The implementation of the WFA may be exempted for certain sectors such as healthcare, logistics, transportation, security, hotels, hospitality, shopping centers, manufacturing, the food and beverage industry, other essential sectors, or those related to production continuity.

3. The WFA will not be counted as annual leave.

4. Workers or laborers who are on WFA will continue to perform their work according to their duties and responsibilities.

5. Wages during the WFA will be paid in accordance with the wages received at their regular workplace or in accordance with the agreed wage.

6. Working hours and supervision of the work performed by workers or laborers on WFA will be regulated by the company to ensure workers remain productive.
