
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali served 1.14 million passengers during the 18-day Eid travel season in 2026.
"During the 18-day period of the integrated post from March 13 to 30, 2026, PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, as the airport manager, recorded an overall 1.14 million passengers," said General Manager Nugroho Jati in a statement in Denpasar, Bali, on Tuesday.
The airport, he said, recorded 503,000 domestic passengers and 639,000 passengers in international routes, a 1 percent raise compared to last year's Eid holiday season.
The peak of airport movements before Eid was recorded on March 18, 2026, three days before Eid al-Fitr, with a total of 71,442 passengers. Meanwhile, the post-Eid peak movement was recorded on March 23 with 72,139 passengers.
"The passenger movements on Monday, March 23 also became the highest throughout the 2026 Eid al-Fitr transport season," Nugroho said.
This year, in addition to the increased number of passengers, the aircraft movement also increased by up to 3 percent. A total of 6,927 aircraft movements occurred during the 2026 Eid holiday period, while the aircraft movements in 2025 were 6,734.
The airport manager mentioned that the Tangerang (CGK) route became the busiest domestic route during the Eid holiday with a total of 1,400 aircraft movements served, followed by Surabaya (SUB) with 495 aircraft movements and Lombok (LOP) with 341 movements.
Meanwhile, for international routes, the Singapore (SIN) route tops the list with 538 aircraft movements, followed by Kuala Lumpur (KUL) with 464 aircraft movements, and Perth (PER) with 377 aircraft movements.
The number of aircraft movements includes those of additional flights with 272 aircraft movements.
Nugroho ensured that the travel during the Eid holiday season ran smoothly and well-controlled with zero accidents.
"During the 2026 Eid al-Fitr travel season, flight and airport operations ran safely, orderly, and conducive. We recorded an increase in passenger and aircraft movements that was well-accommodated. Most importantly, all elements succeeded in achieving a zero-accident status during the travel season," he said.
