TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian dragon boat team has had a phenomenal performance at the World Games 2025 in Chengdu, China, securing a total of five medals as of Sunday, August 10, 2025. This impressive haul was achieved at the Xinglong Lake Hubin Arena.
In addition, Indonesia also won a silver medal in wushu, bringing the nation's total medal count to six.
The first gold medal was won on Saturday, August 9, in the open 8-seater 2,000m category. The team, comprising Irwan, Sutrisno, Dapit, Roby Kuswandi, Nur Meni, Dayumin, Riska Andriyani, Maryati, Wahyuni Reski, and Hafiza Nadia, delivered an outstanding performance.
They followed up this success with two more gold medals on Sunday, August 10, in the open 8-seater 200m and 10-seater 500m events.
The team also claimed two silver medals in the open 8-seater 500m and the 10-seater 2,000m pursuit race.
These medals, combined with a silver medal won by wushu athlete Seraf Naro Siregar in the men's changquan-daoshu-gunshu category, place Indonesia seventh in the medal table, behind Germany, Italy, Ukraine, China, Switzerland, and France, as of Sunday, August 10, 2025.

The dragon boat and wushu athletes are part of Indonesia's flagship sports at The World Games 2025, which runs from August 7–17. The country has a total of 28 athletes competing in other sports such as duathlon, karate, kickboxing, and rock climbing.
