Explosions rocked Tehran, the capital of Iran, on Saturday, February 28, 2026, following an attack that United States (US) officials described as a joint operation with Israel on Al Jazeera. On the same day, explosions were also heard in Qatar, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, and Manama after Iran launched missiles towards Israel.
The Indonesian Embassy in Doha reminded Indonesian citizens to always monitor emergency alert messages from the Qatari government and coordinate with Indonesian community leaders in their respective regions to obtain the latest information.
For Indonesian citizens facing an emergency or requiring consular assistance, the Indonesian Embassy in Doha urges them to immediately contact their Indonesian representative. The Indonesian Embassy in Doha also provides an emergency hotline.
Furthermore, Indonesian citizens in Qatar are asked to ensure they have registered themselves through the official Peduli WNI website to facilitate access to protection. The Indonesian Embassy also requests that Indonesian citizens verify and update their data through the Indonesian Citizens in Qatar Data Update system, which can be accessed via the QR code provided in the announcement.
