TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Pelita Air is offering flight discounts of up to 45 percent across all domestic and international routes to commemorate the 81st Anniversary of Indonesian Independence Day while bolstering public mobility.
"Pelita Air is presenting a special Merdeka Surprise promotion featuring discounts of up to 45 percent on all domestic and international flight routes," said Pelita Air President Director Faik Fahmi in an official statement in Jakarta on Friday, August 14.
The promotional offer applies to round-trip flight ticket bookings made via the airline's website and mobile application from August 16 to 18, 2026, for travel on August 17, September 1, and October 24, 2026.
"Through this initiative, Pelita Air aims to inspire the public to embrace the spirit of independence by exploring more destinations across Indonesia and overseas," he said.
The scheme is expected to deliver greater value for passengers while stimulating travel during the national holiday period.
Faik emphasized that the independence celebrations offer an ideal opportunity to strengthen inter-regional connectivity and broaden travel options for the public. He added that independence is a driving force to keep moving forward and staying connected.
By launching the Merdeka Surprise campaign, Pelita Air seeks to offer more affordable air travel so that more people can experience safe and comfortable flights.
"We believe that improved connectivity will have a positive impact on the growth of tourism, business activity, and the economy in various regions," Faik said.
He reaffirmed that the carrier will keep introducing programs that deliver concrete benefits to travelers, reflecting its commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, and continuously improving air travel.
As an expanding carrier, Pelita Air strives to play an integral role in the journeys of the Indonesian public. Beyond bridging cities, the airline aims to link opportunities across tourism, investment, and the creative economy.
"We hope this promotion can be a form of appreciation for the community while also encouraging national economic growth through increased mobility," Faik added.
Furthermore, all Pelita Air services feature complimentary in-flight meals, a checked baggage allowance of up to 20 kg, a cabin bag limit of 7 kg, and full access to onboard entertainment.
Generous legroom further enhances passenger comfort on both short-haul and long-haul routes. Passengers are invited to plan their upcoming holidays with Pelita Air. "Full details on the terms and conditions of this promotion will be published across all official Pelita Air communication channels," he concluded.
