TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The console gaming company PlayStation has announced a policy on price increases for the PS5, PS5 Pro, and PlayStation Portal remote player products globally, which will take effect on Thursday, April 2, 2026. Due to pressure in the global economic landscape, the company under the Sony Group Corporation umbrella decided to raise the prices of its products.
Vice President Global Marketing of Sony Interactive Entertainment, Isabelle Tomatis, stated that PlayStation is aware that changes in gaming console prices will affect its community.
"After careful evaluation, we found this was a necessary step to ensure we can continue delivering innovative, high-quality gaming experiences to players worldwide," Isabelle said in her statement on the official PlayStation blog on March 27, 2026.
Isabelle also called on all local retailers in each global region to comply with this policy, and they can access the direct.playstation.com page for details. Here are the retail prices for PS5 that will experience changes starting from April 2:

PS5: US$649.99 (around Rp11 million)
PS5 Digital Edition: US$599.99 (around Rp10 million)
PS5 Pro: US$899.99 (around Rp15 million)
UK Region
PS5: 569.99 pounds sterling (around Rp12 million)
PS5 Digital Edition: 519.99 pounds sterling (around Rp11 million)
PS5 Pro: 789.99 pounds sterling (around Rp17 million)
Europe Region
PS5: 649.99 euros (around Rp12 million)
PS5 Digital Edition: 599.99 euros (around Rp11 million)
PS5 Pro: 899.99 euros (around Rp17 million)
Japan Region
PS5: 97,980 yen (around Rp10 million)
PS5 Digital Edition: 89,980 yen (around Rp9 million)
PS5 Pro: 137,980 yen (around Rp14 million)
