The Head of the Cirebon Customs Office, Abdul Rasyid, explains that the bonded zone in the region has become one of the drivers of economic growth. "As of September 2025, the number of companies enjoying the facilities has grown by almost 77 percent compared to 2022, with the footwear industry dominating," he said on Thursday, September 25, 2025.

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Trade Minister Budi Santoso expressed confidence that the signing of the Indonesia–Canada Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (ICA-CEPA) will unlock wider market access and strengthen economic ties between the two nations.
“The Indonesia–Canada CEPA marks a new chapter in the economic relationship of both countries,” Budi said in a press release on Thursday, September 25, 2025.
The agreement was officially signed in Ottawa on Wednesday, September 24, by Budi Santoso and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, with President Prabowo Subianto witnessing the event.
3. Indonesian Govt Says IEU-CEPA to Scrap 98% of Tariffs in EU Market
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Ministry of Trade stated that the Indonesia-European Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IEU-CEPA) can eliminate up to 98 percent of tariff lines in the European Union market.
"Eliminating up to 98 percent of the total tariffs, removing almost all trade barriers for goods and services, and opening the way for investments," said Director General of International Trade Negotiations at the Ministry of Trade, Djatmiko Bris Witjaksono, in a written statement on Thursday, September 25, 2025.
He stated that Indonesia and the EU target to implement this agreement by January 2027.
