TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC), an Indonesian-Chinese joint venture, has announced six additional trips for the Whoosh high-speed train on Sunday, August 10, 2025. This will provide an extra 3,606 seats, bringing the total number of trips to 62, an 11% increase from the usual 56.

According to KCIC's General Manager of Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa, these extra trips were made possible by adjusting the maintenance schedule of Whoosh facilities without compromising safety or maintenance standards.

"The addition of these schedules is due to adjustments in the maintenance schedule of Whoosh facilities and infrastructure, allowing for more trips," she said in a written statement released on Saturday, August 9, 2025.

For Sunday, the first Whoosh departure will be at 6:05 a.m. local time from Tegalluar Summarecon Station, 6:23 a.m. from Padalarang Station, and 6:25 a.m. from Halim Station.

This earlier start time allows for a greater number of trips throughout the day. Previously, the first Sunday departure was around 7:30 a.m. from Tegalluar Summarecon Station and 8:00 a.m. from Halim Station.

Here are the six additional schedules for the Whoosh high-speed train on Sunday, August 10, 2025:

  • Halim-Tegalluar Summarecon Route:

    • G1003 departure at 6:25 a.m.

    • G1005 departure at 7:00 a.m.

    • G1007 departure at 7:25 a.m.

  • Tegalluar Summarecon-Halim Route:

    • G1004 departure at 6:05 a.m.

    • G1006 departure at 6:35 a.m.

    • G1008 departure at 7:05 a.m.

The expanded Whoosh schedule is also aligned with increased feeder train services from Padalarang Station to Cimahi Station, Bandung Station, and vice versa. Eva confirmed that tickets for these additional trips are available for purchase through various online channels, including the Whoosh application, the official website ticket.kcic.co.id, and partner platforms such as Access by KAI, Livin' by Mandiri, BRImo, Wondr by BNI, Tiket.com, and Traveloka.

Eva expressed that the increase in service is intended to provide more options for weekend travelers. "We see an increasing trend in weekend mobility, so the addition of these schedules is expected to provide extra comfort for Whoosh service users," she said.
