Batman Part 2: Sebastian Stan Joins the Cast, Who is He Playing?

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Shortly after landing Scarlett Johansson, DC Studios is reportedly poised to welcome another  Avengers star into Batman Part II. With his familiarity with superhero and villainous costumes, Sebastian Stan is said to be in talks to join Robert Pattinson in the highly anticipated sequel.

However, it remains unclear which character Stan would portray in Gotham City, whether he would emerge as an adversary or an ally to Bruce Wayne. Assuming the deal moves forward, the Oscar-nominated actor will likely join the production in the spring of next year, with a theatrical release planned for October 2027, according to Deadline.

DC Studios has not yet officially commented on the news.

Alongside Scarlett Johansson and Robert Pattinson, Batman Part II boasts an increasingly star-studded cast. As noted by Variety, returning high-profile names include Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright, and Andy Serkis.

Batman Part II is a long-awaited DC superhero sequel directed and written by Matt Reeves. It follows The Batman, released in March 2022, which grossed $369.3 million domestically and $772 million worldwide.

Stan, meanwhile, is best known for his portrayal of Marvel’s Bucky Barnes, also known as the Winter Soldier. His most recent MCU appearance came in Thunderbolts, which received a more muted response compared to his widely acclaimed performance in The Apprentice, where he portrayed Donald Trump—a role that earned him significant critical praise and an Oscar nomination for Best Actor.
