TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has urged residents of Jakarta and its surrounding areas to be cautious of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning or thunder on Sunday afternoon until evening, December 21, 2025. With air humidity ranging from 72-90 percent, the weather today is inclined towards rain.
Based on the 24-hour weather forecast from BMKG, cloudy weather will start in most parts of Jakarta and its surrounding areas, precisely from 01:00-07:00 WIB (Western Indonesian Time).
Subsequently, until 13:00 WIB, the weather will gradually become heavily overcast with the potential for light rain in some areas of West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, Tangerang City, Bogor City and Regency, as well as Bekasi City and Regency.
Meanwhile, the potential for moderate to heavy rain exists in some areas of South Jakarta, East Jakarta, Tangerang Regency, and South Tangerang City.
From the afternoon until the evening, light to moderate rain is expected to pour in some areas of Jakarta, Tangerang City and Regency, South Tangerang City, Depok City, and Bogor City and Regency, as well as Bekasi City and Regency.
There is also the potential for strong winds in some areas of South Jakarta, East Jakarta, Tangerang Regency, South Tangerang City, Bogor City and Regency, and Bekasi City and Regency.
The air temperature in the Jakarta-Bogor-Depok-Tangerang-Bekasi (Jadetabek) area today ranges from 24-32 degrees Celsius, while the temperature in Bogor City and Regency is lower, ranging from 22-26 degrees Celsius.
