TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Deputy Minister of Public Works, Diana Kusumastuti, said the labor-intensive programs will continue in 2026. "The labor-intensive programs run this year, and Insya Allah, next year as well," said Diana in Jakarta on Monday, October 13, 2025, as quoted from Antara.

According to her, the labor-intensive programs directly benefit regional communities. "These programs are important, by involving communities and directly benefiting people across regions," she said.

The Ministry of Public Works, through the Directorate General of Water Resources, continues to implement the Acceleration Program for Irrigation Water Utilization (P3TGAI) as part of the labor-intensive program.

For 2026, the Ministry of Public Works is planning to expand P3TGAI to 12,000 locations.

In addition to the P3TGAI Program, the labor-intensive program in the Ministry of Public Works also includes Community-Based Drinking Water and Sanitation (PAMSIMAS), Community-Based Sanitation (SANIMAS), and Regional Socio-Economic Infrastructure Development (PISEW) for the next year.

The PISEW program is running in 600 locations and absorbs 13,200 workers, the SANIMAS program is implemented in 1,000 locations with a total of 14,000 workers, and the PAMSIMAS program is in 470 locations with a total of 7,050 workers.

The Ministry of Public Works is also intensifying the implementation of the labor-intensive programs for roads and bridges in 2025 to realize President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita goals.

In the 2025 Fiscal Year, the Ministry of Public Works earmarked Rp1.2 trillion for labor-intensive works for roads and bridges construction spread across 1,059 locations.

Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo stated that the labor-intensive program is a development strategy that not only produces physical output but also has a direct impact on the local economy and creates job opportunities.

This program is a pivotal instrument to ensure equal benefit from development across all walks of life within the nation.
