TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The 40th Golden Disc Awards were held at the Taipei Dome on Saturday, January 10, 2026. The 10 Best Albums and 10 Best Digital Songs were awarded Bonsangs (Main Prizes), as well as three Grand Prizes or Daesangs (Grand Prizes).

In this edition, the three Daesang winners were Stray Kids, G-Dragon, and Jennie. Stray Kids won Album of the Year thanks to KARMA. Song of the Year went to G-Dragon for "HOME SWEET HOME" (feat. Taeyang and Daesung). This year, a third Daesang was awarded to BLACKPINK's Jennie, for Best Artist.

1. Stray Kids

Stray Kids took home two trophies at the 2026 Golden Disc Awards: Album of the Year and Album of the Year. The eight members of Stray Kids said they received so much love for their two albums, making yesterday a truly memorable year for the group under JYP Entertainment.

"During our eight years as Stray Kids, we have had many memories of crying and laughing together with STAY (their fandom name). Because we are with STAY, I think we can call those memories not just memories, but precious moments. In the future, we will continue to build many memories together with STAY, create more impressive works, and become artists who know how to be truly grateful. Thank you," said Stray Kids, as quoted by Chosun Biz.

2. G-Dragon

G-Dragon, who was awarded the Best Digital Song of the Year award, was unable to attend in person in Taipei. However, he appeared in a pre-recorded video message.

"I am honored to receive Best Digital Song of the Year as my first award this year. I will be back with the BIGBANG members this year," he said, as quoted by Allkpop. At the 2026 Golden Disc Awards, G-Dragon also won Best Album and Best Digital Song.

3. Jennie

Jennie won a Digital Song Bonsang as a solo artist, received another Digital Song Bonsang as a member of BLACKPINK, and was also awarded the Global Impact Award with Prism.

"It's been a long time since I attended the 'Golden Disc Awards,' and I'm so happy to see fans again. This moment really made me realize how much love last year's album received," she said. "I'm not sure if the members were watching, but I think Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa would be happy too. Thank you so much to BLINKs."

BLACKPINK was also nominated for Best Digital Song at the 2026 Golden Disc Awards. However, Jennie was the only BLACKPINK member in attendance. "Even though I'm here alone today, I feel proud and happy. I will continue to strive to be an artist who can have a positive influence," said Jennie.
