BMKG Forecasts Mostly Cloudy Skies Across Jakarta on Sunday

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has forecast sunny and cloudy skies across most of Jakarta on Sunday.

The BMKG, via its Instagram account @infobmkg, predicts that the Thousand Islands and West Jakarta will be partly cloudy on Sunday morning, while Central and North Jakarta will be clear, while South and East Jakarta will experience hazy skies.

Hazy skies are cloudy skies that reduce visibility.

By midday, almost all of Jakarta is expected to be covered in thick clouds, while East Jakarta will experience hazy skies.

Morning temperatures will range from 25–28 degrees Celsius with average wind speeds of 3–14 kilometers (km) per hour.

Meanwhile, during the day, most of Jakarta will be cloudy, except for the Thousand Islands, which will experience thick clouds. Temperatures will range from 28–33 degrees Celsius with wind speeds of 3–13 km per hour.

Then, in the afternoon, the entire Jakarta area will likely be partly cloudy, while the temperature in the afternoon will range from 29–32 degrees Celsius with wind speeds of 8–17 km per hour.

Then, at night, around 10:00 PM WIB (Western Indonesian Time), most of Jakarta is forecast to be cloudy, except for Central Jakarta, which will be partly cloudy.

Meanwhile, the temperature will range from 28–29 degrees Celsius with wind speeds of 1–5 km per hour.
