TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto arrived back in Indonesia, landing at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta on Saturday, after wrapping up a three-day state visit to France from May 27 to 29, 2026.
According to flight tracking monitors from Jakarta on Saturday, the presidential aircraft carrying President Prabowo touched down at approximately 9:58 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB) after departing Paris, France, on Friday, May 29, local time.
Upon his arrival at Halim Perdanakusuma, President Prabowo was greeted on the tarmac by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
On his flight back to Jakarta, the President was accompanied by a select delegation, including Foreign Minister Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
Earlier, an official press release from the Presidential Secretariat noted that President Prabowo's departure from Orly Airport in Paris was marked by a formal military send-off.
President Prabowo received military honors from a guard of honor lined up on both sides of the red carpet.
During his state visit to Paris, the President kicked off his official agenda by attending a welcome ceremony at Les Invalides, followed by a bilateral meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace.
President Prabowo then attended a state dinner hosted by Macron at the Élysée Palace's Salle des Fêtes. Over the course of the visit, he also performed the Eid al-Adha prayer alongside Indonesian citizens and the local diaspora at the Indonesian Embassy in Paris.
Previously, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that President Prabowo Subianto's official state visit to France had yielded four new commercial agreements centered on energy security, trade, and defense cooperation.
Speaking to reporters in Jakarta on Friday, May 29, Teddy confirmed that this milestone was a concrete outcome of President Prabowo's high-level meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace.
Teddy explained that the two leaders also presided over the launch of the France-Indonesia High-Level Business Council, an initiative spearheaded by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and MEDEF International.
