TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin has reshuffled core officials in the special crimes department (Jampidsus) amid legal proceedings against former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes Febrie Adriansyah. The changes affect the Director of Investigation, Director of Operational Control, and two coordinators handling special criminal cases.
The reshuffle is outlined in Attorney General Decree No. 831 of 2026 on the Termination and Appointment of Civil Servants within the Attorney General’s Office (AGO), issued on July 22, 2026. The decree details the transfer of 29 officials across the institution.
Head of the AGO's Legal Information Center, Anang Supriatna, confirmed the leadership rotation. "It's true, [there is a reshuffle]," Anang said when contacted on Wednesday night, July 22, 2026.
Anang stated that the reshuffle is part of the routine career development and organizational refreshment. "And to fill vacancies in several positions to ensure smooth public service, especially in legal services and enforcement," he said.
Under the reorganization, Burhanuddin appointed Deputy Chief of the Banten High Prosecutor's Office, Rinaldi Umar, as Director of Investigation at Jampidsus, replacing Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi. Bayu Adhinugroho Arianto, previously a coordinator under the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence, fills Rinaldi's former post in Banten.
Syarief has been reassigned as Director III under the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence. That role was previously held by Transiswara Adhi, who now serves as Head of the Riau Islands High Prosecutor's Office.
Besides the investigation chief, the Attorney General rotated Director of Operational Control at Jampidsus, Muhammad Syarifuddin, to lead the South Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office. Former Deputy Chief of the Central Java High Prosecutor's Office, Erich Folanda, replaces him.
Meanwhile, two Jampidsus coordinators, Dandeni Herdiana and Andi Suharlis, were promoted to Deputy Chiefs of the West Nusa Tenggara and Yogyakarta High Prosecutor's Offices, respectively.
The rotation follows Presidential Decree No. 87 of 2026 on the appointment of several high-ranking officials within the AGO. Minister of the State Secretariat Prasetyo Hadi stated that the President signed the decree based on the Attorney General's proposal after passing the Final Assessment Team (TPA).
"Regarding several officials within the Attorney General's Office, we can inform that yesterday the President signed a Presidential Decree in accordance with the results from the final assessment team as outlined in the proposal letter from the Attorney General," Prasetyo said during a press conference at the Presidential Palace Complex on Wednesday.
Under the presidential decree, the President appointed Asep Nana Mulyana as Deputy Attorney General, Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak as Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes, Kuntadi as Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, Harli Siregar as Head of the Education and Training Center, and Patris Yusrian Jaya as Head of the Asset Recovery Agency.
Prasetyo affirmed that the Jampidsus appointment will not involve a presidential inauguration. "No, no, there is no inauguration for Jampidsus," he said. He added that the government will deliver excerpts of the decree to the AGO for administrative processing.
The reshuffle follows recent leadership changes at Jampidsus. Previously, Febrie Adriansyah resigned as Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes amid ongoing legal proceedings against him. President Prabowo Subianto then appointed Kuntadi as his replacement through Presidential Decree No. 87 of 2026. One day after the decree was signed, Burhanuddin rotated core Jampidsus officials, including the directors overseeing investigations and operational control, among 29 transferred prosecutors.
