TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has urged state officials to conduct self-introspection, especially members of the country's armed forces (TNI), the National Police (Polri), and the Attorney General's Office (AGO).

While delivering a speech at the inauguration of a dam in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, he said, "Indonesia's problems are our concern; [thus] I ask for all to introspect, especially bureaucrats," he said, as quoted from a Presidential Secretariat broadcast.

State officials, especially serving with TNI, Polri, and the AGO, all enjoy facilities funded by the people, he said. "Military and police officials, introspect. You belong to the people. Your stars, your shoes, and your hat all come from the people. Don't ever forget that," he said while subsequently name-dropping prosecutors.

After delivering the message, Prabowo boasted of the achievements the government has managed in a short period of time, despite much opposition "from corruptors."

Meanwhile, TNI, Polri, and AGO have been under scrutiny these past few days. On Wednesday, July 8, Polri's Corruption Eradication Task Force raided Cafe de'Clan Signature in the Cipete area, South Jakarta.

The French restaurant was previously named Gontran Cherrier—where Febrie Adriansyah, Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, was tailed by police's anti-terror department, Densus 88.

According to Tempo's observation, prosecutors and soldiers were also seen when the police raided Cafe de'Clan Signature. However, they were not part of the Jakarta Metro Police's task force. "Yes, they were there too," said a police investigator who participated in the raid.

The raid was also monitored by members of the TNI, despite the police not requesting military assistance in the raid. Tempo saw a soldier coming out of the cafe.

In the early hours of Thursday, dozens of TNI soldiers also visited the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Jakarta Metro Police.

According to information obtained by Tempo and confirmed by two senior Polri officials, Director C of the TNI's Strategic Intelligence Agency, Brigadier General Wahyo Yuniartoto, led the visit.

Beside him, Brigadier General Cpm Anggiat Napitupulu from the Forest Area Discipline Task Force also reportedly came to Jakarta police headquarters with ten armed and uniformed TNI personnel, as well as five AGO personnel wearing civilian attire.

But the military denied this. "I have checked; that information is not true," said the Head of the TNI Information Center, Brigadier General Muhammad Nas, when asked to confirm.

Military presence was also found at Febrie Adriansyah's residence in the Kramat Pela area, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, when the police conducted a search of the house on Wednesday. At that time, the soldiers in full uniform with long-barreled weapons stood guard at the main gate of the white-colored house, while others stood at ease in the frontyard garden.

Additionally, several well-built personnel in civilian clothes were seen. Several prosecutors were also seen walking back and forth behind the house fence wearing red corps uniforms.

Muhammad Nas explained that this was carried out upon AGO request as part of an inter-agency cooperation, in line with Presidential Regulation No. 66 of 2025 which regulates the state's protection of prosecutors.

"The security is not related to other developing issues," Nas said in a written statement on Thursday, adding that it was related to the ongoing search conducted by the Polri investigators.
